Canby United Methodist Church (CUMC) financially supports our local ministry as well as our full time pastor and support staff. We also support the operation and maintenance needs of the church building and grounds. United Methodist churches are part of a larger network, so CUMC supports the larger church through giving to the local Conference and District.  We participate in network mission opportunities and have been generous with our support of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), which responds to hunger and natural disasters all over the world.   We also support local missions, such as Backpack Buddies and Relay for Life.

Special giving from our church supports capital projects, such as the major roof repair that happened in 2016. Over time, we hope to grow our small endowment fund that is designed to provide long term funding from earnings on the permanent investment.  Our annual participation in the Clackamas County Fair by selling slices of pie has provided a multi-generational team project that has lasted more than 50 years.  We have used the profits from this event to support our budget, pay for special needs, and fund mission projects.
